Rules for Swag

These rules should help those that have seem to have gotten swag all mixed up and distorted.....enjoy

1. Swag can not be bought
2. Swag comes from within.....not what you saw on TV or heard on the radio
3. Adding the word swag to everything doesn't give you swag
4. Swag should be seen not heard
5. You shouldn't have to tell someone you have swag....they should know it
6. There is many forms of swag
7. Hating on someone for their swag does not give you swag
8. Swag doesn't happen overnight
9. You can't force swag.....it should happen naturally
10. If you only got it cause you think it makes you look cool......that ain't swag
11. You can't be given swag.....it must be learned and earned

.........I think that covers it hahaha but if you think I missed one feel free to comment and I might add it to the list

Goal accomplished!!....Find a Internship

Well I am no longer singing the King's Blues God has blessed me with a job. What is funny about this is that when I got it and started working I realized that it is really a internship that I can really benefit from in the long run. So therefore I accomplished one of my short-term goals which was getting a  internship for the summer. It's funny how God blessed me with a job and at the same time helped me accomplish a personal goal of mine. So now if you go to my older post of when I listed my goals goal #4 of my short-term goals has been crossed off. This is only beginning and I have a feeling I will be crossing more of these goals off.....oh by the way pics above are from my job....just in case you couldn't tell.

King's Blues........

With me not being able to get a job in these past weeks I can really relate to this song right now. The whole point of this song is to talk about the struggles of not having any money to do the things you want/need to do with your life. Not being able to get money when you need it sucks and all these jobs I have been applying too and calling back are not helping me out. It seems that they are all just giving me the run around with the whole "Give me your name and number and I will get back to you" BS. I have done everything that you are supposed to do when applying for jobs it would be nice if the places would just tell me no so I can move on to the next option. I have applied everywhere and I still haven't even gotten an interview. All I need is a chance and I am sure I will get the job. I have faith that God will eventually get me a job but it's hard to stay positive when I can't see anything happening for me right now. I will just have to be patient.

The Greatest Era of Basketball......

Is from 1990-2004. This era was the best of all time for basketball. The level of competition was at it's highest. Guys played with more passion and heart. Players were trying to beat the best, not join them (*cough Miami cough*). You had MJ is his prime with his bulls but you also had other great teams like the 90s Knicks, Rockets, Jazz, Trailblazers etc. There players played hard night in and night out and made the regular season count for something unlike today were most players like to cruise through the regular season and start to play during the playoffs. In this era it was about having skills and mental toughness but in today's game all you hear about is athleticism and "upside". Players from this era dang near hated each other and it showed during the game which made for great rivalries a la Bulls vs. Knicks were at any moment a fight could break out. Now everyone is so buddy buddy that it is sickening. Also the players back in the day were tougher and didn't need to flop every minute to try to draw a foul. In a sense players from back then played with a sense of pride and manhood that wouldn't let them look like a punk and flop all over the court. Heck even the refs back in the day were better too. A hard foul back in the day was just a personal foul now it is a flagrant foul and you might get thrown out of the game. In this era you had the great series of the Bulls vs. Pacers, Jazz vs. Bulls, Portland vs. Lakers, Kings vs. Lakers, Bulls vs. Knicks, Bulls vs. Suns, Pistons vs. Bulls (real physical match-up right there), Rockets vs. Knicks.....and the list goes on. What's even greater about those match-ups was that these just didn't end once the playoffs ended...these carried over to the next season and beyond. Bottom line is that today's game  is slacking compared to this era....the players are not as competitive, refs suck more and David Stern is slowly killing the game even more....(that was more of a personal thing I have my bad). This is why I don't really watch pro basketball that much even more....only a few series in recent memory have actually made me watch them...Heat/Mavs in '06, Both series the Grizzles were in this year.
